These musings are shaped by 7 principles that inform my life: The inherent worth and dignity of every person; Justice, equity and compassion in human relations; Acceptance of one another; A free and responsible search for truth and meaning; The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process; The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all; Respect for the interdependent web of all existence.

Hi James! Thank you for visiting the blog, but moreso for the kind words about our dear friend. Cancer sucks, doesn't it? I, too, am a survivor -- ovarian cancer -- it's been 7 years now. It amazes me how some of us survive and saddens me how many of us do not.
Yes, Bob and I served together. He has been quite a force in our community. I also taught at the high school where his youngest attended. Columbia really is a very small community who owes an enormous debt of gratitude to people like Bob and Barbara who have given so much of themselves. Blessings, Kathy
James -- Forgot to mention that we lived in Marlboro for two years. I'm originally from Phila. -- my parents had a home in Manahawkin, not too far from Tom's River, and my brothers were lifeguards on LBI and Bryant (sp?) Beach.
